Welcome to North Central Co-op (or NCC as we are commonly called) where our roots date back
to 1927 when a group of local farmers banded together and managed the remarkable feat of
obtaining a carload of Canadian clover seed. Securing the imported seed would have been
impossible for any of the farmers to do alone, and it was, according to one of the farmers, “a
godsend in price and performance.” The benefits of the co-op were evident and the farmers’
organization continued to grow. Although the ownership of the co-op remains in the hands of
the farmer-members, anyone—and everyone—is welcome to purchase products from the co-
op, and much of our business today is done with non-farm accounts. The quality products and
services provided by the co-op have benefits for all—whether your need is farm, home, or
commercial in nature. Our Agronomy, Energy, Feed, and Grain professionals are dedicated to
working with you and developing a plan to accomplish the goals and objectives you have for
your farm, home, or business.
Our ability to grow over the years is due to sound business practices and a reputation for
excellence in serving our local communities. We are locally owned and controlled—people, not
money, control our growth and success. Each stockholder has an equal vote regardless of volume
or size of their operation. Our employees know that the owners of our co-op are the people who
walk through our doors each day, and we never want to do anything to diminish the trust and
confidence they place in us.
