The Care You NeedWith the Service You Deserve
Nunn’s Home Medical Equipment is the result of an altruistic man
who had compassion for another family that was grieving. That man
was our founder, mentor, father and grandfather Martin J. Nunn.
As the story is told, Martin needed a wheelchair for a friend who
wanted to pay his last respects to a loved one at the funeral home.
He called all over town but could not find one. Unfortunately, they had to carry this person into
the funeral home. Martin decided to order a wheelchair so if this situation were to occur again,
he would be prepared. His order kept getting backlogged due to the war—so he continued to
wait and wait. Finally, one day, 12 wheelchairs were delivered—much to his surprise!
Martin did not need all 12 wheelchairs, so he decided to sell or rent them to those who did. The
demand was there. He thought,
“If I can rent and sell wheel chairs, why not crutches, canes, walkers,
etc.
?” Thus the idea for Nunn’s Hospital Supply Inc. was born.
Today, Nunn’s Home Medical Equipment operates with the same compassion and eagerness
to help those who truly need medical equipment solutions to maximize the quality of their
lives. Our business is still family owned and
includes a third generation.
