RESOURCES OF A NATIONAL COMPANY—QUALITY OF A SMALL BUSINESS In the quest for continuous improvement, The Durkin Company adopted a customer-centric approach. Efforts were directed toward enhancing customer experiences, ensuring timely delivery, and providing tailored solutions. This focus on service excellence garnered positive feedback, fostered stronger relationships with our customers, and bolstered the company’s reputation for reliability and quality. This cannot be done without a solid team. Our team is dedicated to a simple concept: Your Facility…Our Responsibility! The turning point for The Durkin Company arrived in July 2020 when it underwent a change in ownership. Joe Durkin, Jack Reynolds, and Zach Trearchis took the reins, ushering in a new era for the company. The trio share over 65 years of experience in the cleaning industry. This acquisition marked a pivotal moment in Durkin’s journey, bringing forth various transformations and ambitious initiatives. The acquisition’s impact on Durkin’s market position was significant. The company seized new opportunities, expanded its product lines—elevating its services through online ordering—and diversified its offerings. Consequently, Durkin witnessed substantial growth in its market share, solidifying its position as a leader in the janitorial and safety products market while exploring expansion in the construction market, specifically in Division 10 specialties. 978-262-1312 • www.thedurkincompany.com The new owners completely understand that the company’s greatest asset is its team members. Joe, Zach, and Jack foster a culture that allows employees to have a sensible work/life balance with the opportunity to make a good living. Flexibility in the workplace is important to them—building better relationships with our valued customers. Welcome to The Durkin Company. We are headquartered in Billerica, Massachusetts, and have been an integral part of the local business landscape since 2003. In this time, we have built and developed strong relationships with many major corporations, property management companies, schools, municipalities, and local businesses. Although The Durkin Company was established decades ago, the company has adapted and pivoted with our client’s needs over time, particularly following our acquisition in July 2020. Founded in 2003, The Durkin Company started as a family-owned, small-scale operation specializing in janitorial and safety products. Over the years, its commitment to quality, innovation, and customer satisfaction propelled its growth, solidifying its position as a reputable organization in the Billerica business community.

Not only does The Durkin Company have an open-door policy, where operational input is encouraged. Many changes that have occured have been suggested by department managers. A significant amount of our current team members pre-date the ownership change. These team members have been with The Durkin Company for 10-15 years. This longevity creates a strong bond and company culture. The Durkin Company is an organization that understands the importance of giving back to the community that their business relies on. We proudly support The Billerica Boys’ and Girls Club, Groton Hill Music Center, Nashua Performing Arts Center, among many others. We want our place to be different than other companies, especially other cleaning supply companies. Joe Durkin, The Durkin Company President, says “Culture is something that we have truly invested a great deal of time in creating and maintaining. Like the show “The Office,” we have a cake for every birthday and host parking lot cookouts throughout the year, as well as several events during working hours to show new products or equipment that coincidently fall on the same days as the MLB opening day, The Masters for golf, March Madness, and several others.” The Durkin Company team epitomizes the work-hard, play-hard group. The Durkin Company is proud to be a large Sponsor Supporter of the University of Massachusetts Athletic Program and the Tsongas Arena. Investments were made to improve their Billerica facility, expand its supply chain, and upgrade its delivery fleet. As part of these improvements, significant company resources have been invested in the Construction-Division 10 Specialty product category. Seven years ago, The Durkin Company saw a need in the Construction-Division 10 market that would perfectly fit the way it does business. This market expansion would continue to develop long-term business partners. The Division 10 Specialty product category supports about thirtyfive construction company clients with such items as restroom partitions, lockers, wall protection, fire extinguisher cabinets, wall coverings, signage, and many other products. This market expansion was a key component in The Durkin Company becoming more fluid. The team is continuously evolving and reworking the way we do business to out-service all others. 978-262-1312 • www.thedurkincompany.com
