Mr. Cole

became

Chairman of

the Board,

and Julian

Perry became

President/CEO.

VAMAC ‘s orginial headquarters,

showroom, branch and warehouse.

VAMAC’S new logo was introduced.

1973

Mr. Cole passed away making

Ken Perry President/CEO, and

Julian Perry became Chairman

of the Board.

1923

VAMAC drills the largest well on the east coast.

1955

Kenneth Perry joined VAMAC.

VAMAC drilled its last well.

1967

June 12th, fire destroyed

the downtown corporate

office, counter, show-

room and store. End

of industrial piping

distribution.

Virginia Machinery &Well

Company was founded

by Mr. Charles F. Cole

as President/CEO. The

company was started as a

commercial and industrial

well drilling and industrial

piping supply contractor.

Early 1930s

Began in plumbing, hydronics and well

supply wholesale distribution.

1915-2015

1949

Julian Perry was one of the founders

of the VAWater Well Association.

1960

Started using VAMAC as

a consolidated name,

but it wasn't formal.

1965

First satellite branch

opened in South Hill.

1970

Changed name formally to VAMAC, Inc.

VAMAC also installed the first computer

in plumbing

distribution in

our area.

1972

Fredericksburg branch opened.

1983

Petersburg branch opened.

VAMAC was the first plumbing

distributor in our area to offer

self-selection.

1984

Chesterfield branch

opened.

1985

Corbin Perry Ensign

joined VAMAC.

1986

Norfolk branch opened.

VAMAC also joinedWIT

& Co.

1991

Woodbridge, Manassas and

Warrenton branches opened.

VAMAC also entered the onsite/

septic business.

1999

Suffolk branch opened

through the purchase

of R & J Supply.

2004

Charlottesville

branch opened.

2005

Lynchburg branch opened.

2007

Culpeper branch opened.

2008

Winchester branch and our Onsite/

Septic Distribution Center opened.

2007-2011

Members of the 4th

generation joined

the VAMAC family in

the business.

2013

New expansion to service our customers

and large online base. New customer

values added at our counters, saving

them time

and money.

2015

100 Year Anniversary June 15, 2015.

Chris Perry joined

Leesburg branch opened.

Early plumbing and heating vendors

included Burnham & Eljer.

Some of our very first vendors included

Chase Brass and F. E. Myers.

We moved our headquarters,

showroom, branch and central

warehouse to new location.

VAMAC also won an award for

building design.

1923

Julian G. Perry joined

as bookkeeper.

1999

“The VAMAC Difference”

logo was introduced.

Hanover branch opened.
